Presented by the Chamber Music Society of Mississauga, this program pairs two emotionally charged works performed by Anthony Thompson (clarinet), Bryan Holt (cello), Cheryl Duvall (piano) and Amy on violin:
-Quartet for the End of Time by Olivier Messiaen: Composed while Messiaen was imprisoned during WWII, this work for violin, clarinet, cello, and piano is a meditation on eternity, faith, and hope.
-Bird in the Tangled Sky by Jocelyn Morlock: Inspired by birdsong and fragility in the face of chaos, Morlock’s atmospheric work takes flight in shimmering textures and lyrical gestures. It is a modern reflection on freedom, vulnerability, and resilience.
